When I am working as a learning manager in a school I will employ my Voki Avatar to set homework tasks for my students. This is a fun, interactive way to encourage students to use ICT's meaningfully and educationally.
Employing other created avatar's will also be useful to summarise, introduce topics and teach student a wide variety of subjects in creative imaginative ways.
Teaching the students how to use an avatar would also be useful as part of their assessments. The students could write their whole assignment then conclude it with a talking avatar. Also great for confidence when presenting an oral assignment.
